Digital Procurement Strategies in Strengthening Supply Chain Resilience Amid Global Disruptions

In August 2026, a research team from Universitas Trisakti consisting of Suci Nur Rahmadhani, Wahyuningsih Santosa, Gatri Lunarindiah, and Febby Annisa published a pivotal study on the role of digital procurement, data analytics, and information sharing in strengthening supply chain resilience in Indonesia. This research is highly crucial for businesses that continuously face global environmental uncertainties.

Various global disruptions, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, international geopolitical conflicts, and fluctuations in energy and commodity prices, have shaken supply chain stability in Indonesia. National companies' dependence on imported raw materials, limited supplier visibility, and conventional procurement processes often trigger supply delays, increased operational costs, and declining production performance.

To examine solutions to these challenges, the study involved 176 respondents ranging from employees and supervisors to managers working in procurement, supply chain management, data analytics, and risk management. Data was collected via an online questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on AMOS software.

Based on in-depth data analysis, the research produced several main findings:

• Digitalization of the procurement process provides a positive and significant influence on enhancing risk management effectiveness.
• Information-sharing practices and data analytics capabilities are proven to directly strengthen a company's ability to mitigate various potential operational threats.
• Risk management effectively acts as a mediating variable that translates digital capabilities into robust supply chain resilience.

These findings offer strategic implications for the industrial sector in Indonesia to accelerate digital transformation. According to the Universitas Trisakti researchers, leveraging digital technology in procurement and maintaining solid risk management are the main keys for companies to detect potential disruptions early and accelerate recovery when crises occur.
