Digital competencies and effective communication have proven to play a vital role in boosting employee work productivity within the financial sector. This was revealed by Eva Yusmita and Nopi Oktavianti from the Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Pamulang University, through a study published in August 2026. This research serves as an important strategic reference for companies in formulating human resource development policies amidst rapidly moving digital transformation eras.
The current business world faces increasingly tight competition, where companies are required to adapt to technology and manage employees optimally. At PT Esta Dana Ventura, the achievement of company targets has fluctuated and failed to reach maximum levels in recent years. Major obstacles faced in the field include some employees still struggling to operate company digital systems, less-than-optimal digital data management, and occasionally poor inter-departmental communication that triggers coordination delays.
To examine these issues, the study applied a quantitative descriptive method using a saturated sampling technique involving the entire population of 100 PT Esta Dana Ventura employees as respondents. Primary data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires using a Likert scale, while secondary data was obtained from literature and company documents. Data analysis utilized multiple linear regression, t-tests, and F-tests with the help of statistical software.
Statistical analysis results established the following key findings:
- Significant Impact of Digital Competencies: The digital competency variable partially exerts a positive and significant effect on work productivity, yielding a calculated t-value of 5.025, which exceeds the t-table value of 1.660.
- The Role of Effective Communication: Open and directed communication similarly contributes a positive and significant partial effect, reaching a calculated t-value of 5.131.
- Simultaneous Contribution: Combined together, digital competencies and communication account for 76.1% of the variation in employee work productivity increases, while the remaining share is influenced by other factors outside this study.
The application of this research provides practical implications for the business world, particularly financing and financial service companies, to regularly strengthen digital skill training strategies. Furthermore, improving organizational communication is deemed crucial to streamline information flow, improve coordination, and build harmonious working relationships in the office environment. As emphasized by Eva Yusmita and Nopi Oktavianti from Pamulang University, strengthening both aspects serves as the primary foundation for employees to work more effectively and efficiently in achieving sustainable company targets.
