Teacher creativity in private Islamic elementary schools in Bogor has been significantly shaped by knowledge sharing, according to a 2026 study by Fuzna Nur Aqilah, Soewarto Hardhienata, and Eka Suhardi from the University of Pakuan, Bogor. The research highlights how collaboration, leadership, and digital skills contribute to more innovative teaching, making the findings highly relevant for improving education quality in the digital era.

The issue of uneven teacher creativity has become increasingly urgent amid rapid technological change and growing demands for student-centered learning. Many teachers still struggle to integrate innovation into their teaching practices, particularly at the primary school level. This gap prompted researchers to explore a more comprehensive model that connects multiple organizational and individual factors.

The study involved 248 teachers from private Islamic elementary schools in Bogor City. Data were collected through surveys and analyzed to identify relationships between key factors influencing teacher creativity. The research focused on four main variables: collaboration effectiveness, transformational leadership, ICT literacy, and knowledge sharing.

The main findings reveal:

  • Knowledge sharing is the strongest factor influencing teacher creativity (β = 0.483).
  • Collaboration effectiveness has a significant positive effect (β = 0.202).
  • ICT literacy also contributes positively (β = 0.153).
  • Transformational leadership shows a meaningful impact (β = 0.120).
  • Knowledge sharing acts as a bridge, strengthening the effects of collaboration, leadership, and ICT literacy on creativity.
  • The overall model explains 85.7% of the variation in teacher creativity (R² = 0.857), indicating strong predictive power.

These findings show that teacher creativity does not develop in isolation. Instead, it grows through active exchange of ideas, supportive leadership, effective teamwork, and the ability to use digital tools.

Fuzna Nur Aqilah from the University of Pakuan emphasized that knowledge sharing is a strategic driver in education. She noted that when teachers regularly exchange ideas and experiences, innovation in teaching becomes more sustainable and impactful.

The study offers important implications for education stakeholders. Schools are encouraged to build a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing, strengthen leadership practices, and improve teachers’ digital competencies. For policymakers, the findings provide a data-driven foundation for designing teacher development programs that are systematic and sustainable.
