Elsha Lianabilla and Muhammad Gandung from Pamulang University conducted a study involving 57 employees of Abuba Steak Cipete, South Jakarta, from October 2025 to July 2026, to examine the effect of competence and organizational culture on work productivity. This research is highly critical for the culinary industry sector to optimize human resource performance amid fierce global market competition.

The dynamics of the food and beverage industry demand that companies maintain efficiency and high service standards. Based on preliminary analysis, although the competence and work culture variables at the restaurant were rated as good, the employee productivity level was still in the suboptimal category, thus requiring strategic improvements.

This study applied a quantitative approach using a saturated sampling technique involving the entire population of 57 employees as respondents to minimize generalization errors. Primary data collection was conducted through a Likert-scale questionnaire, which was then analyzed using SPSS 26 software through classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, as well as partial and simultaneous hypothesis testing.

Key findings from this research include the following important points:

  • Individual competence has a positive and significant partial effect on work productivity, with a calculated t-value of 11.336 exceeding the table value of 2.004.
  • Organizational culture proved to have a significant partial effect on productivity, with a calculated t-value of 5.090 > 2.004.
  • Simultaneous ANOVA testing showed a calculated F-value of 329.792, which is much greater than the table value of 2.78, with a combined coefficient of determination reaching 92.4%.

The implications of this research indicate that enhancing specific technical skills and implementing a results-oriented work culture can drastically boost corporate operational performance. Elsha Lianabilla and Muhammad Gandung emphasize the importance for companies to strengthen structured skill training programs, improve standard operating procedures (SOPs), and encourage innovation-adaptive leadership to address workplace quality gaps.
